RHRI · Website redesign · Round 2

Three radical directions for rhri.bio

Round 2 takes the round-1 feedback literally: far less copy, graphics carry the page, and each concept takes a real visual risk — including rebrands. Same message stack, same guardrails, three very different sites.

Brief: "something more out there — reduce the content, add graphics"

Round 2

For review

Each is a self-contained page. Best on desktop with sound off and scroll on.

04 / Mitosis

Mitosis

The institute is a living organism

One bioluminescent cell — the RHRI mark itself — divides across a single scroll-driven canvas scene: 1 → 2 → 4 pillars → a clinic network → one coral heartbeat. ~100 words on the whole page.

  • Rebrand: abyssal black + bioluminescent teal + coral
  • Type: Instrument Serif italic × JetBrains Mono ("lab poetry")
  • Signature: the logo literally performs the story
05 / Specimen

Specimen

Lab brutalism — type as the graphic

A lab report blown up to poster scale: viewport-filling kinetic type that bulges around the cursor, stamp-slam pillar numerals, marquees, barcodes, and a rotated "RHRI VALIDATED" stamp.

  • Rebrand: bone paper + ink black + acid #D6FF3D
  • Type: variable-weight Archivo, all caps, letters touching
  • Signature: cursor-reactive headline, stamped reveals
06 / Deepfield

Deepfield

Signal v2 — fly through the network

You don't look at the network, you fly through it: scroll moves a camera through a 3D field of clinic nodes, from broken edges to a dense validated core, one sentence per station, instrument-grade HUD.

  • Evolved Signal DNA: deeper dark, glowing teal, coral beacon
  • Type: Space Grotesk × JetBrains Mono HUD chrome
  • Signature: scroll-driven 3D flight, clickable station rail

Round 1

Reviewed — none selected

Kept for comparison. Feedback: competent but safe; Signal was the closest hit.

01 / Dossier

Dossier

The site is a validation dossier

Editorial and authoritative — teal ink on warm paper, serif + mono, a numbered protocol spine and a four-pillar scorecard.

02 / Signal

Signal

The decentralized network, alive

Dark, kinetic, technical — a live clinic-network canvas with audience channels. The seed for round 2's Deepfield.

03 / Bloom

Bloom

From cell to clinic — human

Warm and optimistic — cream, coral, and teal blocks with a cell-division motif. Its cell seed grew into round 2's Mitosis.
